Free roaming with Europe: the bill passed the first reading

The Verkhovna Rada passed in the first reading the draft law No. 10265 on a single roaming system with the European Union.

This was written by Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.

Ukrainians will be able to avoid paying additional communication fees when traveling up to four months in Europe, and European travelers – in Ukraine. Ukraine has fulfilled one of the conditions for European integration in the field of electronic communications. We are one step closer to digital visa-free travel with the EU. We thank the Parliamentary Committee on Digital Transformation.

I hope MPs will vote for the draft law as a whole.
Fedorov

What is known about European roaming

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine could join the free roaming agreement with the EU in 2024. Then mobile roaming tariffs will be lower than before the start of the full-scale war. Roam like at home (RLAH) users will not have to pay additional fees or buy local SIM cards to save money. Subscribers will be able to use their tariff from the Ukrainian operator.
