Brigadier General Oleksiy Gromov, deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, announced this during a briefing on October 6. According to Gromov, Ukrainian defenders shot down 60% of the drones. For this, the Armed Forces used aviation, small arms, and air defense systems.
“We will continue to improve air defense, taking into account the technical characteristics of the enemy’s aircraft,” the general said.

Shahed 136 is an Iranian kamikaze unmanned aerial vehicle. It was presented for the first time in 2020. The declared flight range is 2000 km. The UAV is equipped with a triangular wing with stabilizers at the ends, a warhead, a propeller and an engine.
