The Kremlin reacted to the explosion on the Crimean Bridge

Due to the explosion and fire on the Crimean Bridge on the Russian-occupied peninsula, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin ordered the creation of a government commission to investigate. This is reported by the Russian mass media.

Oleg Kryuchkov, adviser to the head of the occupying power of Crimea, said that the fire broke out on one of the sections of the bridge. According to his information, a fuel tank is on fire. Traffic on the bridge was stopped.

‘The navigable arches are not damaged. It is too early to talk about the causes and consequences. Work is underway to extinguish the fire,’ Kryuchkov wrote in a telegram

The press service of the Crimean Railway reported that a fuel tank caught fire in the tail of a freight train. The locomotive with part of the wagons was brought to the Kerch station.

‘Emergency work is underway. The causes of the incident are being investigated,’ the railway said.

The video shows that the road surface of the bridge is destroyed, and tanks are burning on the railway branch.

The occupying authorities of Crimea confirmed that traffic on the bridge was blocked and reported that the launch of a ferry across the strait was being prepared.

The anti-terrorist committee of the Russian Federation announced that a truck had been detonated on the Crimean bridge. This caused seven railway fuel tanks to catch fire. Two car spans of the bridge have partially collapsed.

The head of the occupying ‘parliament’ of Crimea, Volodymyr Konstantinov, blamed Ukraine for the damage to the Crimean bridge. He stated that the road surface was damaged by ‘Ukrainian vandals’.
