We are talking about 5 cars. This is stated on the website of the German government. The Armed Forces have already been trained in their use. By the way, this is only the first batch. A little later, another 7 such cars will be handed over to Ukraine.
Bergepanzer 2 is a German armored repair and evacuation vehicle on the chassis of the Leopard 1 tank. Its main purpose is to ensure the mobility of armored units, evacuate damaged equipment, and provide assistance during the replacement or repair of the motor-transmission compartment or tower. Bergepanzer 2 was in service with engineering troops of the Bundeswehr, armored battalions and similar units in other armies. Bergepanzer 2 is armed with a machine gun and smoke cannons.
