Google Chrome will be able to hide your IP
Google Chrome has started testing the IP Protection feature. It will help users of the desktop version of the web browser to hide their IP addresses from visited websites.
When it is activated, Internet traffic will be redirected by the browser through proxy servers of Google itself and an external CDN network. This approach will prevent any participant in the connection from seeing the IP address at the same time as the connection point.
Journalists of the online publication Bleeping Computer doubted the security of the scheme proposed by Google developers. According to them, the passage of traffic through servers owned by the search giant will make it difficult to block DDoS attacks. If a proxy server is hacked, the traffic passing through it will be disclosed.
Currently, only a small group of American users have access to IP Protection. Later, it will be available to users from all over the world.
