Google Chrome will drop support for Windows 7 computers
Chrome V110 will be released in the first decade of February next year. According to The Verge, the new version of the web browser will not work on Windows 7 computers. In addition, Chrome V110 will not support Windows 8.1.
Journalists note that older versions of Chrome will work on Windows 7 computers as usual, but users will no longer have to count on receiving updates. To receive the latest updates for the browser, you will need to switch to using Windows 10 or 11.
Microsoft introduced the Windows 10 OS seven years ago. Despite this, it is in high demand among PC users. As of September, the Windows 7 OS audience was estimated at 100 million people. After Google abandons support for Windows 7, the number of users using this software platform will begin to decline.
