Google integrates Bard chatbot into Assistant for personalized answers
At the Made by Google event, the company announced the merger of Bard chatbot and Assistant voice assistant. This will allow us to provide personalized responses to user requests.
What is known
According to Google, the combination of Bard’s “generative thinking” and Assistant’s “personalized assistance” will make it more useful in solving various tasks such as planning trips or writing messages.
You will be able to interact with the updated Assistant using text, voice, and images.
How it works
For example, a user can ask Assistant for advice on a route for a hike with a dog by sending a photo of a sign on the trail. The assistant will give a personalized recommendation.
The feature is still being tested. In the coming months, it will be available on Pixel 8 smartphones, followed by Android and iOS.
