Google is developing a service to identify unknown phone numbers
Google is working on a feature that will allow you to recognize a phone call from an unfamiliar number.
This was reported by PunikaWeb.
To see who’s calling you, the Lookup button appears right in the recent calls menu on Google Pixel smartphones.
An interesting development, which is currently in beta, was noticed by an X user, AssembleDebug, in Japan. According to him, a “Search” button appears next to a call from an unfamiliar phone number. By clicking on it, the system automatically opens a Google search with the contact already entered there.
The new feature also includes other options, such as Block and History, which you also see when you click on a recent call.
However, according to the user, this feature is more likely to identify calls from various companies that have contact information with Google, rather than from individuals.
Although the Google Phone app is standard for Pixel phones, other Android owners will be able to download it as well.
