Starlink still hasn’t shut down terminals in occupied territories of Ukraine – The Wall Street Journal

The Wall Street Journal writes that Elon Musk’s Starlink is also working for the Russians: so far, the company has not shut down a single terminal in the occupied territory of Ukraine.

Russia has allegedly officially banned the purchase of Starlink, but the terminals continue to arrive through intermediaries. Most orders come from volunteers who supply the Russian army. Starlink solves the problem of effective communication between troops and their commanders and allows them to control drones and other advanced technologies.

The company may block their operation in certain countries and places, but “Musk said that, to his knowledge, no terminals have been sold directly or indirectly to Russia, and that the terminals will not operate on Russian territory.”
