Google launches Market Finder in Ukraine, which makes it easier for businesses to enter new markets

Google launched Market Finder in Ukraine — a free service that helps companies enter new markets, find new customers and increase export sales online. As reported by Google, the platform also contains guides, videos and tips that make it as easy as possible for companies to take their first steps in the export market.

What is Market Finder?

The free Google Market Finder service provides Ukrainian entrepreneurs with easy access to statistical data, tools, and resources to start developing their business internationally.

Do you want to sell your goods in foreign markets, but do not know where to start? We offer to check the readiness of your business for export, and receive a personalized report using the My Export Score interactive service,” – says Google.

Market Finder collects indicators that cover 40 different areas — from logistics and purchasing behavior to a country’s full economic profile — that will help entrepreneurs find a way into new markets.

How will it help entrepreneurs?

Market Finder offers several tools to help you identify new potential markets, gain transaction information and start selling to customers around the world:

  • Market Finder can create a list of new promising target markets for a brand and determine the demand for goods or services based on monthly local searches, popular market trends, real income per capita, Internet users and Google Ads recommended bid.
  • Market Finder analyzes consumer internet usage, demographics and disposable income, providing clear metrics and valuable insight into market growth potential.
  • The service will also help plan operations, including localization, payment setup, customer service, as well as tax, legal and logistics operations and recruitment.
  • Market Finder helps you develop an international marketing strategy and provides educational resources on digital marketing, including creating effective Google Ads campaigns.

Why is this important?

Starting from June 4, 2022, the decision of the European Union to abolish customs duties on Ukrainian goods for a period of one year came into force. As reported by Economic Truth, this decision supplemented the opportunities that Ukrainian exporters have in accordance with the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU.

The absence of customs duties on Ukrainian goods will be in effect for at least the next year (perhaps this decision will be extended later), which will help Ukrainian manufacturers and exporters to withstand the burden of the war and strengthen their position on the European market.

However, the start of export is not an easy task for medium and small businesses in Ukraine. And the availability of a convenient and free solution from Google, which collects analytical data, from logistics and purchasing behavior to the full economic profile of the country, simplifies at least the first stage of this matter.
