Google releases Ukrainian version of Lookout, an AI app for visually impaired people

Google has announced support for 11 new languages, including Ukrainian, in its Lookout app, which uses artificial intelligence algorithms to help visually impaired people.

When using Lookout in Ukrainian, you can use 3 different modes: text, document, and research.

Using Document mode, you can capture and voice entire pages of text in text format or in Google Docs.

Explore mode uses computer vision to identify objects, which can be especially useful when you are in an unfamiliar place. This way you can find out what’s around you. For example, furniture or a pet.

Text mode is best for listening to a small amount of text. For example, messages in messengers or from an email.

Lookout was launched in 2018, and a smartphone with 2 GB of RAM and Android 6.0 or later is enough to use the app.
