Google will improve Assistant with artificial intelligence, which will be more similar to ChatGPT and Bard
Google plans to update Assistant with features based on generative artificial intelligence.
In an email, the corporation informed employees that it had already started studying an “enhanced” Assistant based on the latest large language models (LLMs). Similar technologies are at the heart of ChatGPT and Google’s own Bard chatbot.
According to the report, “part of the team has already started working on this, starting with mobile devices.”
As part of this change, Google announced the reduction of the team working on Assistant. The email states that the company will “eliminate a small number of roles,” although it is unclear how many employees will be affected. According to some reports, Google fired “dozens” of people.
