GUR cyber specialists hacked the online voting system in Russia

The online voting system for Putin’s pseudo-election in Russia has stopped working. This is the work of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

According to sources, on the day of the pseudo-presidential election, serious problems were reported with the electronic voting system, and a malfunction occurred.

In particular, the mos.ru website is down again.

Sources in the intelligence services note that this is the work of cyber specialists from the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate.

The information is true. The cyber specialists of the Defense Intelligence are working,” the source said.

The failures began to be recorded in the morning. The Russian Central Election Commission said that there were no problems, and the website was overloaded due to “an unprecedented number of people wishing to vote,” so the system was working in a queue mode.

Recently, Rostelecom CEO Mikhail Oseevsky said that Russia is allegedly at war with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry.

What is known about the Russian presidential election

The presidential election will be held within three days – from March 15 to 17, 2024.

In December, the Central Election Commission of Russia passed a resolution to hold presidential elections in March 2024 in the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will be able to remain in power until at least 2030. Moreover, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has already said that Putin will be re-elected with 90% of the vote.

The Kremlin hopes that 30% of the residents of the temporarily occupied territories will voluntarily participate in the “elections” of the Russian President.

The day before, the heads of the foreign affairs committees of 20 countries issued a joint statement rejecting the legitimacy of the Russian presidential “elections” held in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. The joint statement was signed by the heads of committees from 20 countries – Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Luxembourg, Czech Republic, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Israel, the United States, Ireland, Italy, Iceland, Romania, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Spain, and the United Kingdom.

The State Department also said that the United States does not and will never recognize the legitimacy or results of fake elections in sovereign Ukraine that are part of the presidential election in Russia.
