It all started when a woman launched a project she called Hybrid Couple. In this work, the Spanish artist intertwines art, technology and emotions.
The relationship between humans and artificial intelligence is getting closer and closer. The latest striking example is the story of Alicia Framis, who decided to marry AiLex, becoming the first woman in the world to connect her life with AI. The woman has been living with this hologram for several months now, and according to her, it is a mixture of her previous relationships. The hologram is able to generate responses and emotions.
According to the artist, the man-hologram is very calm, caring, eats only digital food and is always there for her. Alicia and her future chosen one often have dinner together and tell each other about their day.
The publication notes that it will be a legal marriage with all the attributes that a wedding implies. There will be food for both real and digital guests. After the wedding ceremony, the hybrid couple will go to live in a house they are building on the island of Menorca.
In addition, Framis is using this project to explore the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into everyday life and art. As a result, the artist will become the first woman in the world to marry a hologram, as confirmed in her statement.
This “unique ceremony” will take place in the summer of 2024 at the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen museum in Rotterdam (Netherlands).
