The administration of the US president, as expected, on Friday officially announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine immediately worth $3 billion.

White House Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre, making this announcement, said that the package will include, in particular, armored vehicles (Bradley BMP) and self-propelled howitzers.

Politico reported on Thursday that the package would also include Sea Sparrow anti-aircraft missiles.

A detailed list of everything included in the new package, according to Jean-Pierre, will be published by the Pentagon a little later.

The package also includes $680 million for the countries of NATO’s eastern flank as compensation for equipment transferred to Ukraine.

Of the more than $3 billion in equipment, nearly $2.8 billion will come from the Defense Ministry’s stockpiles. In addition, the USA will allocate 225 million for the development of the long-term defense potential of Ukraine and the modernization of the Ukrainian army.
