How the Ukrainian armored vehicle “Novator” withstood the shelling
The vehicle protected the crew from fragmentation damage from cluster munitions.
Ukrainian Armor, the manufacturer of the Ukrainian Novator vehicle, released a photo of the vehicle under fire in the Bakhmut sector near the town of Chasiv Yar.
A convoy of Ukrainian vehicles came under enemy fire from multiple rocket launchers. According to the military, the enemy used cluster munitions.
The Novator armored vehicle that was transporting our soldiers was covered with shrapnel. As a result, the hood and the top of the vehicle were damaged. There was one hatch piercing, which resulted in a shrapnel wound to a soldier, no life threats.
The vehicle’s armored capsule withstood the attack and remained intact. Also, as you can see in the photo, the shrapnel failed to pierce the glass, which saved the lives of the crew.
