HP Omen 17 – a gaming laptop with Intel Core 13th generation and GeForce RTX 40 at a price of $1700
At CES 2023, HP presented more than just Dragonfly laptops for freelancers. The manufacturer also announced the gaming model Omen 17 with top technical characteristics.
The characteristics of most laptops announced at CES 2023 can be named with closed eyes without reading the press releases of the companies. HP Omen 17 was no exception. It received GeForce RTX 40 series video cards and Intel Core processors of the Raptor Lake-HX generation, led by the 24-core Core i9-13900HX.
The capacity of the SSD is 512-2048 GB. In addition, the user will be able to install two more SSDs with a capacity of no more than 512 GB each. The maximum amount of RAM is 32 GB. At the same time, the Core i9 version received DDR5-5600, and the Core i7 variant is equipped with DDR5 with a frequency of 4800 MHz.
The diagonal of the screen is 17.3′. HP Omen offers users three options: Full HD at 144 Hz, QHD at 165 Hz and QHD at 165 Hz. But we are not talking about operating modes, as in the case of the Razer Blade 16, but about three different configurations.
The HP Omen 17 will be available for purchase this month. The price starts at $1700. Omen gaming desktops with GeForce RTX 4080 / 4090 will also appear on the market in winter, but the price is not specified.
