In Ukraine, they plan to deploy a network of mini-power plants

To ensure a stable supply of electricity and eliminate all risks of long-term blackouts, the government plans to deploy a network of mini-power plants in Ukraine.

This was announced on the website of the Ministry of Integration.

They will help supply water and heat to the homes of Ukrainians, as well as ensure the energy security of nuclear generation and form a backup power supply.

As noted, twenty mini-power plants can produce the power of one nuclear unit.

For example, 100-150 MW is needed to start a nuclear power plant. Generators do not reach such power, but mini-power plants will cope well with this task – Minintergations

It is emphasized that such stations are small and do not require special maintenance.
