Huawei has launched the world’s largest commercial 5.5G network in Shanghai

Huawei has deployed the world’s largest commercial 5.5G network in Shanghai, offering data speeds of up to 5 Gbps, which is 10 times faster than a standard 5G network.

The 5.5G network, also known as 5G-A, has been deployed in key areas of the city, including cultural and tourist areas, the metro, and business centers.

This will allow residents and visitors to enjoy high-speed internet anywhere, improving access to cloud gaming, 3D video, XR and other bandwidth-hungry applications.

The introduction of 5.5G network in Shanghai is part of a global initiative to create a “double megabit city” where high-speed Internet will become the basis for the development of the digital economy and improve the quality of life of citizens.

Huawei and Shanghai Mobile are demonstrating how advanced technology can help create a more connected and innovative society.
