Huawei is relocating employees from Russia to Kazakhstan and other CIS countries

Huawei relocated part of its employees from Russia to Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other CIS countries. A source close to the company informed Vydomost about this, and it was also confirmed by one of Huawei’s partners in Russia.

Some of these employees are heads of the company’s divisions from China, who were sent to Russia at the beginning of the year, and have now been relocated to other countries. By transferring employees, the company is trying to avoid secondary sanctions and adjust supplies for parallel imports, experts say.

In June, Huawei announced the closure of official stores in Russia. Later it became known about the shortage of spare parts for the brand’s smartphones.

In July, the Chinese electronics manufacturer terminated contracts with half of its freelancers in Russia. Part of the staff continues to be on vacation, new employees are no longer being recruited.
