In Estonia, an application based on the Ukrainian Diia is being launched

In 2023, the mRiik application will be launched in Estonia, which will be based on the Ukrainian Diia database

About this reported Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

He noted that he visited Estonia in 2019 as an adviser to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Then he studied the experience of digitalization, took notes of many things, in order to implement them in Ukraine. Today, according to Fedorov, one of the most digitized countries in the world is adopting the Ukrainian experience of digitizing public services.

‘Ukrainian experience is already inspiring Estonia and other countries,’ said Fedorov.

The Minister of Digital Transformation added that he had shared the code and UX/UI design of the Action app with his Estonian colleagues. In February 2023, mRiik will be launched to testers. And already by the middle of the year, they plan to launch the application in full.

‘The case with the Estonian application is important because it is the first. Because Estonia. Because friends. Because digitalization is the future,’ Fedorov stressed.
