In Moscow, unknown persons cut and stole more than a kilometer of the Russian Defense Ministry’s cable – RosMedia

According to Russian journalists, the theft of valuable equipment caused interference in the network. The damage was estimated at 5 million rubles.

In Moscow, unknown persons stole a cable belonging to the Russian Ministry of Defense. This was reported on July 24 by the Russian media outlet Baza.

For example, unidentified persons cut and stole more than a kilometer of valuable equipment, which caused a network outage.

The disappearance was discovered by employees of the Ministry of Defense and representatives of the telecommunications company Voyentelecom during an inspection of a telecommunications facility in the eastern part of the Russian capital.

According to preliminary estimates, the cost of the stolen cable is quite significant, exceeding 5 thousand rubles per meter. Given the amount of stolen equipment, the loss exceeds 5 million rubles, which is equivalent to 2 million hryvnias.

In connection with the theft, Moscow police are conducting an investigation into the matter.

On the morning of July 24, a series of drone attacks took place in Moscow. The explosions occurred near the building of the Russian Ministry of Defense, the office of Leroy Merlin and other targets of the attack.

The same day, the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented on the incident. According to Yuriy Yusov, a representative of the GUR, the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin does not control the airspace even in the capital of his country.
