In one week, Lithuania raised €6 million for air defense radars for Ukraine

A million more than planned

At the beginning of the week, a coalition of four initiatives supporting Ukraine in Lithuania announced a fundraiser for the purchase of air defense radars for the Armed Forces. The goal was to collect 5 million euros. As a result, the plan was even exceeded.

Residents of Lithuania were able to collect more than 6 million euros in just one week. This money will be used to purchase Israeli-made radars that will monitor the airspace around strategic objects in Ukraine.

‘Lithuania is only 3 million people, but this week we raised 6 million euros to buy air defense systems for Ukraine. There are no signs of fatigue here. We will stand with Ukraine until victory,’ Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielus Landsbergis wrote on Twitter (Gabrielius Landsbergis).
