In Ukraine, sales of SE Euro-3 have started

A small network of gas stations ZOG has started the implementation of the Euro-3 SE. Fuel of this class is available in Zaporizhzhia. It is cheaper and suitable for cars older than 2005.

The regional network of gas stations ZOG (ZaporizhOilGrup LLP) has started the retail test implementation of Euro-3 diesel fuel standard. The owner of the network Oleh Sierovskyi informed the enkorr publication about this.

According to him, this type of fuel is currently available at 3-4 network stations. It is sold at a price of UAH 47.00 per liter, while a liter of Euro-5 diesel standard on ZOG costs UAH 54.

“Unlike many other gas stations that currently sell Euro-3 standard fuel under the guise of Euro-5, we decided to be honest and open with our customers. There is such a standard, it is allowed in Ukraine, it is cheaper. The choice is up to the customer,” — said Sierovsky, adding that at his gas station, DP of both standards is implemented.

SE Euro-3, as he noted, produces one of the Ukrainian mini-refineries. At the same time, Oleg Sierovsky admits that there is still no great demand for this type of fuel.

“Actually, the product is not in great demand. There are not many vehicles that would use such fuel, and the main customers of gas stations are drivers of passenger cars. In addition, most of the trucks are already Euro-5,” says the owner of the network.

Also, according to him, many customers distrust substandard fuel. “This is a test implementation for us, after which we will understand whether we will do it in the future,” he concluded.

We will remind you that in March 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers temporarily allowed the use of fuel of Euro-3 and Euro-4 standards in order to attract additional fuel resources to the country.

“ZaporizhOilGroup” has a retail network under the ZOG brand. Currently, the chain operates seven gas stations in the city of Zaporizhzhia and one in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Another 6 stations of the company are located in the occupied territories. The company does not conduct operational activities on them.

Euro-3 is an environmental standard that regulates the content of harmful substances in the exhaust gases of vehicles with diesel and gasoline engines. It was introduced in the European Union in 1999 and replaced by the Euro-4 standard in 2005. That is, Euro-3 fuel can be used in cars manufactured before 2005.
