Inguar-3: Ukraine launches newest armored combat vehicle to strengthen defense capabilities (video)

The Ukrainian company Inguar has officially presented a new armored combat vehicle Inguar-3.

This was reported by Militarny.

The Inguar-3 MRAP armored combat vehicle developed and manufactured by the Ukrainian company INGUAR has completed factory tests and is moving towards state testing.

This vehicle represents a new generation of modular tactical armored vehicles with separate front and rear armor capsules, which allow its configuration to be quickly changed into an airborne vehicle, a pickup truck, or a heavy weapons carrier.

The model shown in the video is configured for two crew members and six paratroopers.

It is equipped with combined armor consisting of aluminum and steel plates. Aluminum elements are designed in a modular format for quick replacement.

The use of aluminum has significantly reduced the weight of the machine. This metal has a high toughness, which allows it to absorb most of the bullet’s energy. The steel armor plate provides basic protection and permanently stops the damaging elements.

The manufacturer claims that the machine has a protection level of 3a/3b according to STANAG 4569. That is, the vehicle must withstand hits from 7.62×51 armor-piercing bullets and 155-mm shell fragments from 60 meters.

Mine protection according to this classification provides for withstanding the detonation of an anti-tank high-explosive mine with 8 kg of explosives (analogous to the Soviet TM-62). The manufacturer emphasizes the increased protection of the under-hood space from debris.

For the driver, the car is equipped with front, rear, and side view cameras that replace mirrors, as well as a night vision camera.

Also included in the package:

  • EMS module with the ability to configure frequencies
  • automatic fire extinguishing system with optical sensors
  • air filtration system from chemicals. infection.
  • autonomous interior heater
  • air conditioning system
  • winch with a pulling force of 12 tons

The Inguar-3 has a frame structure and independent suspension with planetary gears. Thanks to the inter-axle lock, front and rear differential lock, and a high ground clearance of 450 mm, the machine provides high off-road capability.

The powerplant is a 356 hp (1500 Nm) Deutz engine, which works in conjunction with an Allison automatic transmission.

In addition, it has a centralized automatic tire inflation system, and the wheels are equipped with RunFlat inserts that allow movement in the event of a puncture.
