Intel has launched the most powerful PC processor on the planet
Chipmaker Intel, operating in the North American market, launched the Core i9-13900KS computer microprocessor. The semiconductor product is positioned by the manufacturer as the fastest PC processor on the planet. Its clock frequency can reach 6 GHz.
It is worth noting that the Core i9-13900KS practically does not differ from the basic modification of the Core i9-13900K. Intel engineers increased its clock frequency to 3.2 GHz, that is, by only 0.2 GHz. When Turbo Boost is activated, it increases to 6 GHz.
Overclocking the computer processor to 6 GHz became possible thanks to the increase in power consumption. A computer processor consumes 150 watts during normal operation. After activating the Max Turbo mode, the power consumption of the processor increases to 253 W.
The architecture of the most productive processor on the planet includes 24 cores. These are 16 energy-efficient Gracemount cores and 8 productive Raptor Cores. The 32-thread model of the semiconductor product supports 20 PCIe. The cost of Core i9-13900K in the USA is 699 USD, which is equivalent to 25,600 UAH.
