Apple presented a short but emotional video about how smartphones, as it turned out, can help animals.
What they showed
The video, titled The Invincibles, tells the story of 3DPets, a non-profit organization that manufactures customized prosthetics and wheelchairs for animals. They print prostheses on a 3D printer, adapted to the needs of each pet who is missing a limb.
And the iPhone 14 Pro, or rather, the smartphone camera with a LiDAR sensor, helps specialists with this. It scans the dog’s torso and determines the exact dimensions that the 3DPets team uses to design prosthetics.
