iPhone 16 Ultra will receive three additional cameras to interact with Vision Pro

The flagship device of the current iPhone 15 line is equipped with a tetraprism camera. Apple positions it as an analog of the periscope module. In the next lineup, Apple will equip a regular iPhone with such a module. As for the Pro Max (Ultra) version, it will receive three additional cameras at once. This will bring their total number to six.

According to information released by insider Majin Bu, the additional cameras will be small. Their exact purpose is unknown. There is an assumption that they will be responsible for smartphone interaction with Vision Pro.

Smartphones for the North American market will receive a button to activate mmWave mode. Apple will finally install a 120Hz display in the basic iPhone 16 device. At the same time, the number of cameras will not increase. There will be two of them, as before.
