Israeli company IAI has designed an anti-tank UAV Rotem Alpha

Israel Aerospace Industries has added a new aircraft to its product line. It is an anti-tank kamikaze drone.

The IAI website states that the aircraft is called Rotem Alpha. It made its debut at DSEI, which is currently taking place in the UK capital.


The anti-tank quadcopter is characterized by increased endurance. It is capable of hovering at low altitudes for reconnaissance purposes. Rotem Alpha can be operated in adverse weather conditions.


The takeoff weight of the drone is 28 kg. It can stay in the air for about an hour. The effective ceiling of the UAV is limited to 243 meters. In addition to the cumulative warhead, it can be equipped with a high-explosive warhead. A regular army backpack can be used to transport the quadcopter. It takes less than two minutes to deploy.
