Johnson & Johnson stops supplying personal hygiene products to Russia

However, J&J will continue to supply a wide range of pharmaceuticals and medical products to the Russian market.

Johnson & Johnson has suspended supplies of personal hygiene products to Russia due to the “escalation of the humanitarian crisis” caused by the war in Ukraine.

This was reported by Bloomberg.

It noted that J&J will continue to supply the Russian market with a wide range of pharmaceuticals and medical products.

At the same time, the giant in the healthcare market has doubled its commitment to humanitarian aid to $10 million.

It also reported that the company continues to support employees and their families in Ukraine. “We continue to look forward to a speedy solution and will continue to monitor the need for additional humanitarian assistance,” J&J said.

Johnson & Johnson is one of the companies that has already stopped investing and participating in clinical trials in Russia. The structure of J&J includes such brands as Carefree, O. B., Clean & Clear, Johnson’s Baby, Listerine, Compeed and others.

Many other companies have suspended some or all of their operations in Russia, but some continue to sell certain essentials there, including Procter & Gamble Co., Colgate-Palmolive Co. and Kimberly-Clark Corp. However, Colgate said that they will sell in Russia only hygiene products, including basic toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap and pet food.

It should be noted that although some companies continued to sell essential hygiene products in Russia, their prices have risen significantly. So, on March 13, Procter & Gamble warned that their products in Russian stores are rising by an average of 40%.

The Russians, meanwhile, continue to arrange real battles for goods in stores, and hunt for something in general from speculators.
