Kamikaze drone attacks a helicopter at an airfield in Transnistria on the territory of a military unit

A kamikaze drone attacked a helicopter on the territory of a military unit of the so-called “Transnistrian Moldovan Republic” at the Tiraspol airfield.

This was reported by local Telegram channels.

It is reported that the drone’s flight to the military facility was recorded from the side of the road junction, which is locally known as the “Clover Bridge”.

The distance from the bridge to the landing site of the helicopters of the armed groups of the “PMR” is about 6 kilometers.

Judging by the characteristic wreckage, the drone hit a helicopter that was equipped with unguided aircraft missile units.

Local Telegram channels report that the incident occurred at around 12:10.

A video was also released showing a helicopter being hit by a small drone that looks like an FPV.

As a result of a direct hit, the helicopter was completely destroyed. It remains unknown whether the plane was airworthy.

It is reported that there were no casualties as a result of the hit, and the relevant services immediately arrived at the scene.

Criminal proceedings have been opened over the incident.

The party that launched the drone remains unknown.

It can be assumed that such an action is a provocation by the Russian side during the presidential elections in Russia, which are also taking place in the territory of the so-called “PMR”.
