The leader of North Korea, Kim Jong-un declared the irreversibility of the nuclear status of the DPRK. The law on nuclear weapons was adopted by the Supreme People’s Assembly.
The new doctrine states that the command and control system of the national nuclear forces can launch a nuclear strike in the event of a threat of enemy attack. In addition, North Korea can use nuclear weapons in the event of a situation that would pose a threat to the country’s residents. Sole control of nuclear forces passes to Kim Jong-un.
