On the night of September 29, powerful explosions occurred in Kursk, Russia. The Russians announced a massive drone attack and air defense operations.
This was reported by the governor of the Kursk region, Roman Starovoit, on Telegram.
A Russian official claims that air defense systems were operating near Kursk. According to him, a drone dropped two explosives on a substation in the Kursk region.
“One of the transformers caught fire. Five settlements and a hospital are without power,” the statement said.
Later, the governor posted another post in which he noted that it was a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. He added that air defense systems over the region allegedly shot down 10 UAVs.
The Russians traditionally blamed the attack on the Ukrainian military.
