Latvia has handed over €1 million worth of cars confiscated from drunk drivers to Ukraine

Latvia sent 271 cars to Ukraine that it confiscated from drunk drivers. The total cost of the cars amounted to almost one million euros.

This is reported by Delfi.

The Latvian government is already preparing documents for the transfer of 34 more vehicles to Ukraine, their cost is almost €162 thousand.

  • According to Latvian law, confiscated vehicles can be transferred to the government of Ukraine free of charge to eliminate the consequences of the war-related emergency and support Ukrainian society.
