Latvia will hand over a new package of military aid to Ukraine

Latvia continues to help Ukraine by announcing a new package of military aid for the Armed Forces.

This is stated on the website of the Ministry of Defense of Latvia. The new package will include ammunition, machine guns, drones, and helicopters. What information is currently not available.

In addition, Ukraine will receive a new batch of portable Stinger anti-aircraft missile systems from Latvia. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have been using them since the beginning of a full-scale war. MANPADS boasts an infrared homing head. The firing range of the Stinger is from 200 m to 4.5 km. The rocket has a length of 1.52 m and a diameter of 7 cm. The weight of the warhead is 3 kg. The cost of one Stinger unit is approximately $60,000-70,000.

According to the mass media, arms deliveries will begin in the near future.
