Marichka marine drone goes underwater for the first time (video)

The Ukrainian autonomous submarine Marichka has set out on its maiden voyage. This became known from MP Yu. Mysyagin.

The parliamentarian posted a video on his X-account of a prototype marine drone being launched underwater. It was developed by AMMO.UKRAINE volunteers.

The hull of the underwater vehicle is 6 meters long and 1 meter wide. It can travel up to 1,000 km underwater. The MP did not mention the drone’s carrying capacity. Judging by its size, it can hold a lot of explosives. According to the volunteers, the cost of producing one autonomous submarine is UAH 16 million.

A characteristic feature of the Marichka underwater drone is its resistance to electronic warfare. The Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to use such boats to attack ships, destroy bridge pylons and coastal fortifications. In addition, the drone is suitable for reconnaissance.
