SBU tests new Sea Baby maritime drone with a range of 1000 km (video)

The Security Service of Ukraine has developed a new version of the Sea Baby maritime drone.

What is known

The information was shared by Artem Dekhtyarenko, a spokesman for the special service. The new drone is capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 1000 km. That is, almost anywhere in the Black Sea.

In addition, the Sea Baby 2024 version received an increased warhead (up to 1 ton). The updated version of the drone is currently being tested. The first batch of drones will consist of 35 units. By the way, their production was paid for by volunteers. The money was raised through the UNITED 24 platform.

For those who don’t know

The Sea Baby drone was developed by the SBU. In 2022-2023, such drones hit 9 Russian vessels, including the large amphibious assault ship Olenegorskiy Gornyak, the oil tanker SIG, and the Crimean bridge.
