Matepad pro 11 will be the world’s first tablet with satellite connectivity
On November 28, China will host the premiere of the MatePad Pro 11 tablet computer of the 2024 model year. It will be the first device of this class on the market to support satellite communications. It will be provided by the Beidou satellite group.
Users will be able to use satellite communications to send SOS signals to rescuers when other communication channels are unavailable. In addition, they will be able to exchange text messages via satellites.
Huawei claims that satellite support has been implemented in the MatePad Pro 11 without installing additional antennas.
