Mavic may be replaced by QuadCAS bomber drones

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are using handmade ammunition drop systems in tandem with drones on the front line. BothwellRoyal has offered a factory-made solution. The Swedish-South African UAV manufacturer introduced the QuadCAS line of drones.

According to Shepard Media, it consists of three aircraft models: M250x, M500, and MXT. The first two models are disposable barrage munitions like Warmate and Switchblade. The power of the M500 drone’s warhead is comparable to that of an 81-mm mortar shell.

The MXT model is designed to drop ammunition from the air. It can carry up to six anti-personnel grenades. The weight of the drone is less than 2 kg. This allows each soldier to carry several drones. The MXT looks similar to the Mavic 3. The copters manufactured by DJI are used by the Ukrainian military in conjunction with home-made drop systems.

Tests of the QuadCAS line are in the final stages. BothwellRoyal will start accepting applications for the supply of drones in March. The first customers will receive the contracted aircraft by the end of this year.
