Mercedes-Benz EQE can enter the underground parking lot without a driver (video)

The Mercedes-Benz EQE Saloon electric sedan with a new equipment package is now ready for highly automated operation and self-parking.

From now on, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz EQE Saloon can pull into a parking lot, get out of the car and send it to a pre-booked parking space using his smartphone.

This not only saves valuable time, but also makes parking more comfortable and safe. The driver no longer needs to walk across the garage from or to the parked car – the car will drive itself and stand where it needs to be and arrive at the landing site from there.

Using the Mercedes me App, the driver reserves a parking space in advance and then leaves the car in a specially designated place to drop off passengers in the garage. Once everyone has left the cabin, the driver starts the autonomous parking process via the Mercedes me app.

Hot dogs don’t just come with sausage! For example, WOG now offers hot dogs with a kebab with fragrant herbs, cooked according to a classic recipe. Kebabs at WOG are beef or chicken. Both are very tasty.

If the app reports that the automated parking infrastructure has taken control of the car, the driver can leave the garage. Thanks to Bosch’s intelligent infrastructure, the car drives itself to the reserved parking space and automatically parks there. By the way, the car stops in the designated place in reverse exactly in the area designated by the stripes.

In the reverse order, the car leaves its parking space on its own using a command from the smartphone and arrives at the driver and passenger reception area.

As a reminder, in November 2022, Mercedes-Benz and Bosch received the world’s first commercial use permit for their highly automated driverless parking function in Germany. The P6 APCOA parking garage at Stuttgart Airport is the first garage in the world to offer Mercedes-Benz automatic parking to its customers.

In the home parking mode, Memory Parking Assist remembers repetitive parking processes on private property, such as entering a garage. When the vehicle is approaching the predefined starting position, you can start parking using the touchscreen. The driver is behind the wheel and monitors the automated parking process. If obstacles are detected, the vehicle stops until they are removed.

Smartphone parking is also considered innovative and convenient with the Remote Parking Assist app, which can control the parking process in garages or parallel parking spaces using the Remote Parking app. The driver is outside the car, holds the touch panel on the smartphone and monitors the automated parking process.
