Meta to launch “AI personalities” next month – chatbots for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp
Meta may launch AI-based “personas” on its services, including Facebook and Instagram, as early as next month.
Chatbots will provide users with a new way to search, get recommendations, and interact with the company’s products. According to sources, “persons” can have distinct individual traits. For example, one will offer travel recommendations “surfer-style,” while the other will sound like Abraham Lincoln.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has openly stated his plans to introduce artificial intelligence into the company’s products. In February, he announced the creation of a new group focused on generative AI.
In July, Zuckerberg again mentioned the company’s initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence. According to him, the company builds them on the basis of its own large-scale language model Llama.
