Microsoft has launched a Java training site

Microsoft has launched an educational portal for Java developers. It contains materials of various levels, from introduction to the language to the creation of complex applications.

The site contains a number of short videos on the basics of Java. There is also documentation on using the language with various tools and platforms — first of all, with Microsoft Azure’s proprietary cloud service.

Java is widely used in the development of mobile applications, in the financial sphere and beyond. The median salary of a Java developer in the US is $102,000 per year.

A few years ago, the company launched a free Python video course for beginners.
