Modified Ukrainian drone “Valkyrie” is named Galka
Ukrainian engineers have modernized the Valkyrie drone. The improved version of the aircraft is called Galka.

The new drone can be used for adjustment and reconnaissance. Galka can stay in the air for more than two and a half hours. It can move 45 km away from the operator. The UAV’s camera is broadcasted online.
The Galka drone was designed by the specialists of the Fighting Birds of Ukraine company. According to its head, Yuriy Kovalchuk, components for the production of drones are purchased in Germany, China, and Poland. Over time, the degree of production localization will be increased.
Gimball is used to control the Galka camera. Instead of Mission Planner, the company’s specialists decided to use QGroundControl as a drone control program. The reconnaissance drone is equipped with a Rasperry Pi onboard computer. It can fly without GPS.
