More than a million euros for a historic car, BMW 3.0 CLS is being prepared for sale

A rare BMW coupe, with a run of only 50 cars, was put up for sale for 1,249,000 euros. The car has a mileage of only 25 km – this BMW has never been driven on public roads.

Luxury Cars Hamburg has put up for sale one of 50 BMW 3.0 CSL cars. The German automaker has never announced the initial cost of the 3.0 CSL, but there were rumors in collector circles that the coupe costs about 750,000 euros.

The BMW 3.0 CLS was launched in 2022 as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the M division. That’s why the company produced a run of 50 cars. The new model refers to both the original 3.0 CSL from the 1970s and the 2015 3.0 CSL Hommage concept car, combining the most recognizable features of both cars.

All 50 cars were assembled in the same configuration. The body is painted in Alpine White with a special M livery as a tribute to the original 3.0 CSL of 1970.
Each of the special BMW 3.0 CLS has a 6-speed manual transmission and an upgraded 3.0-liter six-cylinder engine with 560 horsepower, acceleration to 100 km/h takes less than 4 seconds, and the top speed exceeds 300 km/h.

The coloring was carried out at BMW’s Dingolfing facility and the assembly was carried out in a separate workshop set up specifically for the 3.0 CSL in Moostenning.

The interior of the BMW 3.0 CSL 2023 is reminiscent of the M4 coupe interior concept. Alcantara and carbon fiber are used in the trim, and the front panel features a digital instrument cluster and a large touchscreen display.
The car’s mileage is only 25 kilometers – the car has never been driven on public roads, and the only owner in the documents confirms the theory that the 3.0 CSL was bought only as an investment, not as a car for everyday use.
