MPs want to fine owners of sports cars and motorcycles for excessive exhaust noise

The Ukrainian parliament has registered a bill to introduce fines for loud exhaust. The fine will range from UAH 17 to 34 thousand.

MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced the work on draft law No. 9564 in his telegram channel.

“I see that I’m not the only one who is annoyed by straight-line racers on sports cars and motorcycles, which now start so loudly on the streets that you often confuse them with rocket arrivals. I was just complaining, and my colleagues submitted a bill to punish them,” the MP wrote.

“It is proposed to supplement the Code of Administrative Offenses with a new article of the relevant content, liability – a fine of up to 1000 tax-free minimum incomes, repeated – 2000 + deprivation of rights up to 6 months,” informs the MP.

It should be noted that to determine the noise level and compliance with its standards, the police must have special devices – noise meters. They must be certified and verified.
