Nammo plant in Sweden switches to round-the-clock production of shells for Ukraine
The Norwegian-Finnish ammunition manufacturer Nammo is switching to five shifts at its Swedish facility to produce ammunition around the clock.
Minna Alander, a researcher at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs think tank in Helsinki, wrote about this on Twitter.
Norwegian-Finnish ammunition manufacturer Nammo has activated 5-shift production at its facility in Sweden, meaning 24/7 production of 155mm ammunition. Also, French-owned Eurenco is doing the same in Karlskoga. A main reason: supporting Ukraine.

The main reason for this decision is to support Ukraine.
In addition, some other European companies have also switched to the new schedule.
“The French company Eurenco is doing the same thing in Karlskoga,” wrote Alander.
She added that despite the fact that production at Nammo has doubled since 2022, it is still not enough to compensate for Ukraine’s ammunition consumption. Nammo plans to reach the required production volumes in a few years.
Earlier, the company said that the ammunition plant would increase its output fivefold due to the war in Ukraine.
