On November 10, the National Bank of Ukraine presented a new version of the UAH 10 coin. The reverse of the coin features a stylized image of the Antonivskyi Bridge.

Commemorative coin “Antonivskyi Bridge”

The mintage of the new coin will be limited. However, the coin will not be a collector’s item, but will be in free circulation.

The coin is dedicated to the bridge in Ukraine that was most often mentioned during the war, one of the three key crossings of the Dnipro River in Kherson Oblast, and a strategically important object for the region and the country as a whole – Antonivskyi Bridge.

The reverse of the coin features a stylized bird’s-eye view of the Antonivskyi Bridge and the Dnipro River, as well as traffic interchanges at both ends of the bridge. The obverse features the face value of the coin, the year of minting, and the coat of arms of Ukraine framed by an ancient Russian ornament.

“To mark the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson region from the occupiers, the National Bank has minted a coin that will be in circulation every day and will symbolically remind us of the unity, courage and endurance of the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian aggression,” said Andriy Pyshnyi, Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine.

The mintage of the coin with the Antonivskyi Bridge will be 10 million pieces, which is about 6% of the current number of 10 UAH coins.

By the end of 2023, another such coin is planned to be put into circulation, which will be dedicated to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
