NEM-600 by Hades Defense Systems: a kamikaze jet drone capable of penetrating 800 mm of armor
Hades Defense Systems has unveiled its new NEM-600 jet drone, designed to engage a wide range of armored targets. According to the company, all tests of the NEM-600 have been completed and the drone is ready for mass production.
The NEM-600 is an airplane-type jet drone with a low-slung wing, with air intakes visible on both sides of the fuselage. The UAV is equipped with a horizontal tail feathering and a vertical kerma. The jet engine is installed in the tail of the drone.
The UAV can be launched from a catapult and used as a kamikaze drone. The NEM-600 can also take off and land on runways using a retractable three-wheeled landing gear.
The NEM-600 kamikaze drone is equipped with a combat cumulative warhead in the nose and is capable of penetrating up to 800 mm of rolled homogeneous armor. According to the developer, it can be used in all scenarios, including urban development, as well as in all weather conditions. The hit accuracy is less than 1.5 meters, which ensures minimal collateral damage when hitting a point target.
The NEM-600 has a wingspan of 3.5 meters, and a version with a wingspan of 2.5 meters is also available. With a maximum speed of 450 km/h, a maximum flight altitude of 6000 meters, a communication range of 50 km and a flight range of 70 km, the drone is suitable for tactical operations at short distances and destruction of strategic targets.
Features such as barreling close to the target, pre-programmed flight paths, autopilot and guided flight make the NEM-600 a versatile and easy-to-deploy system.
The drone is capable of flying at extremely low altitudes, avoiding the terrain, which prevents it from being detected by enemy radars. The compact body of the drone, made entirely of radio-absorbing material, as well as the use of insulation of all internal metal and electronic components, help reduce its radar visibility.
