Netflix has released the first full-length trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender
In less than a month, the live-action version of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Netflix has finally presented a full trailer revealing the plot and characters.
Gordon Cormier will play the main character, alongside Elizabeth Yu and Daniel Dae Kim.
The story tells the story of 12-year-old Aang, who learns to master all four elements – Water, Earth, Fire and Air – in order to save his world from the merciless Fire Nation.
The trailer is very emotional and full of touching moments. We see Sokka and Katara discover Aang frozen in time, but after he escapes from this century-old trap, the boys have hope for salvation.
“The Fire Nation has destroyed everything in its path,” Katara says in one of the following scenes. “If the world has any chance at all, it will need Aang!”
Fans of the original Nickelodeon cartoon may have noticed that the trailer does not feature Toph, Aang’s blind mentor who is skilled in the art of controlling the earth and, later, metal. It is important to note that she appeared only in the second season of the original cartoon, so there is a possibility that she will appear in future episodes: The Last Airbender” is released on February 22 on Netflix
