New iPhone models will be able to connect to Starlink satellites

The new iPhone models will use Starlink satellite internet for emergency calls. This statement was made by American billionaire Elon Musk.

He claims that his company held ‘very promising negotiations’ with the Cupertino corporation. Smartphones from the iPhone 14 family have the function of emergency calls via satellite. It was launched by Apple in partnership with the ‘space’ operator Globalstar. In the future, the latter may be replaced by the Starlink provider, which has the world’s largest satellite group at its disposal.

According to Musk, consumers will only benefit from this. They will be able to connect to Starlink satellites from anywhere on the planet. SpaceX, which owns the provider, will be able to provide iPhone owners with the widest coverage.

We will remind that a day before Apple’s presentation, the Chinese vendor Huawei presented the newest flagship Mate 50, which is capable of connecting to BeiDou’s ‘space’ devices.
